This is an alliance of companies that are working with people that are having mortgage problems. Maybe your lender?
Congress is asking lenders to not do anything until October 1st. Yes, I know, the operative word there is: asking.
Still, what have you got to lose?

Re: the home mortgage crisis:
Is it just me or…is the "golden ring" in all of this the homes and the property they are on?
And who is ending up with these? I'm just considering the fact that there will always be a market for homes to live in.
Is it just me or are lenders so out of control, with our governments permission, since they are in the lending business as well…
That credit is becoming a lot like slavery?
What a mess.

It's going to be very hard for the victims of all of this to work on legislative tracking, maybe the rest of us can help. We need to figure out which pieces of legislation were:
The most destructive, that is, what allowed it in the first place
Attempts to quell it
Legislation that blocked those attempts.
A good start is this timeline by Mother Jones. I'm posting some of the bigger legislative blows on the "Politician Watch" page. Check and see if any of your reps names come up
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll start posting the info I find that might help.
Getting better takes teamwork. Please send in links on anything that could help those caught up in this nightmare - editor@thepoliticalstray.com.
If you have a story that you feel others need to learn from. Send it in. If we get enough, we'll put up a page for them. If that happens, we'll place a page for the lenders if they feel they have a story to tell too. As much as that might get under your skin, logical and balanced stock-taking is a good foundation for those serious about change.
In keeping with our promises, we will nearly always give the accused a voice as well.
