Watching a session of Congress today. (September 30, 2009)
Oh, you guys gotta see this to believe it. I've never seen so much dishonesty in one place.
Check out Rep. Michele Bachmann from Minnesota. Let's hook her up to a lie detector and see if see shorts out all of Washington!!
Steve King backs her up. (Iowa) My guess is Iowa doesn't know that Mr. King is backing a non-system that promotes the early and unneccesary deaths of so many of their countrymen. Seriously, they have repainted the issue so that we are paying for illicit abortions.
Planned Parenthood promotes promiscuity? Oh please. Turn on your blanking television.
Frankly, I don't think anyone that's not had to worry about birth control should have a voice in it. That eliminates both King and Bachmann. *chuckle*
Wasn't this session supposed to be about some appropriations thing? (that's money being spent, btw) They were talking about health care when I first turned it on.
Oh. Steve Weiner (New York) is GOOD. He gives a you-know-what. If his votes match his talk. He's a keeper.
You know, our lives would be soooo much easier if our reps weren't allowed to lie their butts off.
Now, you and I can go to jail for lying to the FBI or for lying under oath. When Oregon tried to pass a law that said politicians could not lie when running, a judge ruled that would violate the politician's right to free speech.
Yep.

Jeeze. Grassley sure is standing on a soap box against the common man on health care. Who's in charge of him? Is he yours? I sure hope you're registered to vote.
Okay. I'll assume some of the more obvious "Getemouts" don't need detailing out. ie, Kyl, Cornyn...see the Politcian Watch page...but let me see if I can dig up the Grassley stuff for the latecomers.

Everyone:
This is a page from the Sunlight Foundation that lists how candidates are voting about their own campaign finance rules.
What could be a better start for our "wolves list"?
Read, note and vote! Hint: watch the red x's.
Not having one doesn't clear them but check how often these same names appear on some of the other votes we've put up for you.
And check out the Sunlight Foundation if you really want to see some people working hard to make a difference for us all. Join 'em. Then go treat yourself to a beer or a banana split! You're gonna feel so much better doing something!
According to the Sunlight Foundation,
Candidates for the US Senate are the only federal candidates who fail to make their campaign finances available online in a timely fashion.
The Senate is considering a bill—S.482—that would fix this.
“Unfortunately, one senator, Sen. Roberts, KS, is setting this bill up to fail by tacking on an unnecessary and controversial amendment that would actually decrease transparency and accountability in the Senate.”
Senator | State | Party | # Calls | Cosponsor | Supports S.482 | Likely to Oppose Roberts Amendment |

Let's Get Radical?
Okay. The Public Option was voted down. It looks like there won't be much of a change for you and I.
We may need to do two things:
one, vote out those working so hard against our best interests.
two, remove any and all public funded health care from Congress until we have our solution.
There. All done.
And what are we doing about lobbyists?
These guys are running our country. Are we sick of it yet?
