Deceptions on the Senate Floor
The Political Stray has been watching the Senate hearings on Health Care Reform.
After a day or so, I was impressed by how much the Republicans keep going on about Medicare cuts. Okay, we know that the cuts will be in Medicare Advantage which is private insurance for supplementing Medicare. That’s not Medicare.
Still, it seemed…un-Republican-like – this escalated concern for our nation’s Senior citizens, So I went to one of my favorite sites, Project Votesmart and looked these guys up. I checked to see how Senior’s groups rated each one.
I know, so now you know.
Be sure and check all the ratings on YOUR reps at Project Votesmart. If you have lots of money, give ‘em some, eh? They do good work.
The Political Stray Note Added later: The more of these I do, the more puzzled I am. Look at the states that some of these Senators are from. Missouri – Wyoming – Montana... Seniors are a tough group to fool anyway, but I’ve met people from these states, my own grandfather came from Barry County in Missouri . These are not the nation's fools. How do these politicians get away with this?
